We are Ahmed and Mai — a couple who share a deep passion for welcoming people into our home and creating genuine human connections through the language of food. Based in Cairo, we believe the best way to understand a culture is to cook and eat together.

What started as sharing home-cooked meals with travellers has grown into a heartfelt mission: to give visitors a true window into Egyptian family life — the aromas of our kitchen, the stories around our table, the warmth that no hotel or restaurant can replicate.

The Family Cooking Class takes place at our family home in Giza Governorate — a comfortable, welcoming residential area. The Food Tour begins at Tahrir Square and continues through Old Cairo's streets, markets, and neighbourhood eateries. The exact meeting address is shared after booking confirmation.

After choosing your date and time on the booking page, we'll reply by email within a few hours with a secure payment link or arrangement. No payment is needed at the booking-request stage. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before the experience.

Please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. We can adjust dishes for vegetarians and avoid common allergens. Egyptian cuisine is naturally diverse and we're very happy to tailor the experience for you.

Absolutely! Children aged 2 and above are welcome. We're a family and we love having little ones around. Many families tell us their kids had the time of their lives learning to cook alongside us.

No minimum — we welcome solo travellers too. For single-guest bookings, a $10 surcharge applies on top of the per-guest price to make the experience viable for our family to run.
